Further extension to Monks Trod TTRO

Aug 8, 2025 | News

Powys County Council has advised LARA of a further extension of the temporary closure of byway LC296 Rhayader – the Monks Trod, which was due to expire on 1st September 2025.

The Council says that Technical and environmental assessments continue in relation to the proposed Trans Cambrian cycle links project. But that  this will not be complete before the current temporary closure expires on 1st September 2025.

We understand that the conditions of the Order remain unchanged; subject to ground conditions, it will be possible to request permission to run an event under Regulation 5(c) of The Motor Vehicles (Competitions and Trials) Regulations 1969 (also known as a ‘Road Safety Rally.’).
